Destroying the bees

Here is an easy way to destroy bees: Wait to hear the buzzing sound that notifies you of their arrival. Then wait for them to get very, very close to you (when they lower their altitude to hit you). Use your weapon with star-type ammo to shoot them. You will hit them 98.6% of the time. If you shoot them and they hit you, you will not lose as much health as normal.

When text appears press Z to fast-forward or A to skip it entirely.

All weapons

At the title screen press Left, Right, Up, Down. Then hold Z and press Right, Right, Left, Left for all weapons.

Infinite lives

At the title screen press L, R, B, A, Z, Left, Right for infinite lives.

Hints

Search high and low for all power-ups. Many enemies not only fire at you but when they die they spray acid in every direction. Keep your distance. Conserve more powerful weapons for tough ground targets. Air targets are easy to pick off. Just get close to them first. Stay clear of the yellow and black flowers and Kablam!

Play as Dark Stinger

Before the opening screen appears, hold Z + Analog-stick Up and press C-Up, C-Right, C-Down, C-Left, C-Left, C-Left, C-Left, C-Left, B, A, B. If you entered the code correctly, you will hear a sound and be able to play as Dark Stinger.

Level Select

At the title screen hold Z and press Right, Down, Down, Right. Release Z and press Right, Up, Down, Left, Left, Up, Right, Right for a Level Select.

Invincibility

At the title screen, hold Z and press R, R, L, L, Up, Down, Left, Right for Invincibility.

Refill health and ammo

You can only use this code if you have All Weapons on: Press A, B, R while playing, and you will refill health and ammo.

Killing the Queen

To really let the Queen have it, shoot her in the head with the manually guided missiles (the one to the left of the big shoulder cannon when you select your weapon).

To kill her in phase 2 (the caterpillar) turn to face her and then shoot a manually guided missile at her head and then once you know its aimed properly don't wait for it to hit her, shoot another one and aim it again. Repeat this process until she is dead. If you get hit while maneuvering a guided missile you will lose control of it and you will have to try again.

Special gun

On mission 6 there is a special gun you can get. First pick up the nuclear device and then while carrying the device fly up towards the mountains to a steel like drum. Fly over the drum and a special gun will appear and some ammo with it!
