Cheat Menu

To access the Cheat Menu, press and hold the L Button, C-Right and C-Down, then press the A Button while at the Main Menu. Once you've arrived at the Cheat Menu, enter the following letters to activate the codes:

PINHEAD     Gives the riders very small heads 
YADAYADA    Activates Mirror Mode 
MIDNIGHT    Activates Night Mode 

Start a race temporarily invincible

To start a race temporarily invincible, just pop a wheelie at the starting line. Pull back far enough so that you fall off your bike. The computer will reset you and you will be temporarily invincible. This helps when you jump off the line because there's less of a threat of being tripped up by the crowd.

Play the NES Excitebike

Complete all stunts in the Tutorial Mode to unlock the original NES version of Excitebike.

Hidden Modes

The access the following hidden game modes, accomplish the corresponding requirement.

Soccer       Place first in the silver round of the novice season.
Hill Climb   Place first in the gold round of the amateur season.
Excite 3D    Place first in the challenge round of the pro season.

Codes

At the main menu, hold L + C-Right + C-Down, then press A. This will display the cheat code screen, where you need to enter the following codes:

SHOWOFF        Stunt Bonus
INVISRIDER     Invisible Riders
BLAHBLAH       Big Heads

Shortcuts

Jungle: Keep driving until you reach an arch and past it is a village. Right after you cross underneath it, turn sharply to the left. You should drive up a hidden road and past at least one guy if you're not far behind. After that, There is another hidden passage way covered poorly in logs. (in other words, very much visible.) Just ram the logs and you should go right through the mountain. You would pass about three people if done right.

Gravel Pit: The second time through this course when the road splits, take the long way around. Build up speed and hit the ramp that was blocked off the first lap. You should move up in the ranks fast.

Mill: When you go over the hill with the hay bails on the left, go the the left of the bails, up the hill, and hit the ramp. Prepair for some big air!
