Break down walls without a mattock

Sent in by Ethan If you have the weapon "star" you can break down walls in dungeons with out wasting a mattock.

How to Defeat Golem

Sent in by Ethan at The Unofficial World of Nintendo!!! In the cave where you enter a certain passage and it takes you back to the beginning of the cave, go straight (from the beginning). You will come to a locked door. Through the door is Golem, who you can't hurt, and a robot. In order to defeat him continue on through the cave 'till you end up outside. From outside you will see a passage going right, when you enter you will fight a giant cyclops. After you defeat him he gives you the Star (A.K.A Morning Star). Then go back to fight Golem and use the star against him to destroy him.

Find the Dime Tower

Sent in by Ethan To find the Dime Tower, go to the land with the crystal plants. You need the Blood Sword and the Magic of Nuke. Go to the screen at the water's edge where there are only two crystal plants East to West apart from each other. WARNING: you may lose hit points at this part. Use the Magic of Nuke and shoot the crystal plant that is to the right of the screen. A hole will open where the crystal was. Inside is the key to opening the Dime Tower.

Super sword attacks

Sent in by Darklord For super sword attacks, equip any sword and wait till the bar at the bottom is full, then hold down the left, right up or down button, then press the A button. You will dash across the screen with your sword in front. You can also bounce off walls when you dash.

Where do you find Medusa?

Sent in by Ataru "Mousse" Moroboshi at The Unofficial World of Nintendo!!! First you need to go into the desert. Walk around everywhere until you find a scene with 2 palm trees. All you have to do is walk around it in an 8 formation. To find Medusa inside the cave, you must go through a series of tunnels until you get to a room with 2 spiders and a snowman (I'm not sure about the snowman). Freeze the spiders and move them to a switch. Through those doors is Medusa. She's pretty easy if you're fast.

Get unmoogled

Sent in by David Smith If you get moogled and have your chocobo with you, ask it twice and you will be normal. This might also work with dark, poison, or stone, but I'm not sure.

Blood sword tip

Sent in by Bobby Johnson If you get the Blood sword, don't throw it away or sell it. This sword will regain some of your health every time you damage an enemy.

Snow palace boss tip

Sent in by Nathan When you get to the boss of the snow palace you can use the power of Nuke to kill him if your out of MP'S use the flame chain to kill him fast.

Get the samurai armor and samurai helm

Sent in by Klaw Kat When your In the Temple of Mana with those ninjas and demon heads, kill the Ninjas to get a samurai armor and kill the demon heads with Nuke to get a samurai helm. The chances are slim to get them but their the strongest helms and armors in the game. The elephants have Ageis shields when you destroy them but the odds are even slimmer.

How to beat Davias

Sent in by Matt at The Unofficial World of Nintendo!!! To beat Davias, all you have to do is go in the area, send an icicle flying around the room, and then you can get hit. Unfortunately, neither can he. So, just let your friend, Lester, do all the work for you. It takes a long time, but it's defiantly worth it.

How to enter Medusa's cave

Sent in by Matt To enter Medusa's cave, walk around the palm trees in a figure 8 in the oasis area with the mountain in the top left corner and a lake in the bottom left. Oh yeah, and when you're walking in that figure 8, be sure not to be riding Chocobo.

Finding the morning star

Sent in by Eric The only morning star is like a mattock, except it never runs out, but you cant buy it anywhere. The only way to get it is to find a different way through the (seemingly) impossible maze and finding the cyclops at the end. If you kill him, you get the morning star. You don't need to do this to beat the game, but it frees up TONS of inventory space, because if you don't have it, you will need to use lots of mattocks.

Desert tip

Sent in by John at The Unofficial World of Nintendo!!! When you are in the desert, look for two palm trees that have one space in between them and do a figure 8 once or twice around them and you should here a cave open. This will help you out a lot!!! Most people get lost in the desert.

Finding the Ageis Shield and a level up tip

Sent in by John Also if you fight the enemies near the last boss you might find a chest that has the ageis shield in it. Also when getting level ups put it towards power and Wisdom switch every time since they both give you one of everything else except each other.

Boss tip

Sent in by Alex Lecky For a lot of bosses, if you don't move from where you came in to the area (especially in the kind where you can go back to the room you came from during the battle) a lot of times, the boss can't hurt you, but you can throw stuff at him like axes, and spears and stuff. During battles with really hard bosses, like Julius, if my first method doesn't work, then keep your magic on Cure and just stand next to boss and hit him with your most powerful weapon repeatedly. Whenever your health gets low, use your Cure. Whenever you run out of magic, use an ether. DO NOT USE ANY ELIXER UNTIL YOU HAVE 0 MP'S, NO MORE ETHER, AND LOW HP'S. Elixer gives you full health and magic, so save till you have to use it.

Game Genie codes

Sent in by Kris Smith at The Unofficial World of Nintendo!!! FFE-6B9-E62 Start with 255 in each Ability FAE-3FC-4C1 Don't take most damage 14E-6B9-E62 Start new game with stamina, power and will 20 1EE-6B9-E62 Start new game with stamina, power and will 30 AA2-ECB-357 No Enemies appear on the screen and are replaced by glitched enemies. Bosses appear but only take off 1 HP of damage. That means this code is basically an almost invincible code. This code will glitch if there is a non-glitched enemy on a screen (not a boss) and you swing your weapon. I played for a long time using this code and this only happened on one screen in the game. Also, any other player than the hero will become glitched so this means no other characters in the game. (They will reappear when the story needs them). 40E-A49 Level goes up to 37. Use it at the start of a new game. It will raise your level up to 37. Lots of button pushing. Your hit points and other stats will also raise. FFE-3B9-EFE This code is useless. However, when I entered it, the Game Genie said "Congratulations! You have found the easy secret! Now find the hard ones!" It only worked one time, but what meaning could this have? What does it mean? Editors Note: The answer to this code might be found here.
Sent in by Nick Joslin at The Unofficial World of Nintendo!!! 406-06A-E6E Most Items in stores will have no price. You can buy what you want for nothing FFE-A69-E6A Will raise level to 39 at the start of a new game FFE-CC9-E6A Gives you 65330 GP at the start of a new game
