Get the ball at the start
Set the weather to "Heavy Rain" before the game. If the CPU wins the coin toss, it will choose to kick most of the time.
Created player announced
Give a created player a pro's last name to hear his name announced.
Easy passes
When you are the QB, you can throw the ball two different ways: straight (hold the button of the receiver you want to throw it to) and up high (press and release the button for that receiver). When you throw it up high, the QB will throw the ball over the safety to your receiver. He will catch the ball most of the time. Throwing it straight is the most common way. He just throws it to the receiver and it will not go over the safety. It is best to use the straight pass if the WR is wide open.
Avoid tackles
Stop running for a moment. You can sometimes easily avoid being tackled. Sometimes you will need to juke, spin, or stiff arm to get past defenders.
Good protection
To get good protection on kick returns, choose "Onside Kick" as your play. When you run back the ball, you will usually get past the 20.
Kiss a cheerleader
After your first five seasons in franchise mode, at the end of the SuperBowl there will be a cheerleader waiting for you. You have to be a running back, corner back, wide receiver or a linebacker for this trick to work.
Cracked helmet
Play an AFC vs. NFC Pro Bowl game at Aloha Stadium in season mode. During the game, get a player's helmet popped off (try getting hit in the middle of a throw). After that same play, view an instant replay and zoom in on the helmet that popped off to see that it is cracked.
Easy sacks
On defense, pick the defensive formation "4-3," then pick the play "Whip Man." After the offense chooses their play, shift your four linemen to the left (C-stick Left) and shift your three linebackers to the right (R) before the snap. Chances are the ROLB (right outside line backer) will take the quarterback down. The DT(defensive tackle) might also sack the quarterback if the ROLB is held in the line. Note: To get better results, either choose the ECKO team or pump up your favorite team's defense.
In easy mode, go on the other side of the line of scrimmage and stand in front of the quarterback. Remain there in front of him until he hikes the ball, then tackle him. Make sure you do not touch anybody while getting in front of him.
Easy recovery
Use the following trick to always recover the ball when kicking. Go to a play where most of your players are on the left. When kicking, put the arrow to the bottom left and kick at full power. Your players will have a very good chance to keep the ball.
Unlimited Money in franchise mode
First, select season mode. Next, choose a team, but do not select "Start" yet. Go to "Salary Cap" and change it to "No". Play all the games of your season. When a prmpt appears asking you to convert season to franchise, select "OK". Choose your team to play with again and resume to the off-season schedule. When you want to sign a player, you will see "No Cap" at the top. You may now sign anyone of your choice.
Easy Exhibition Game
Sent in by Nick On the normal game type, choose exhibition and start the game. At kickoff, push start and go to settings. At settings, go to the penalties option. Make all the penalties blue. Then go to A.I.(artificial intelligence) and make all of the human stats red and all of the CPU's stats blue and crush them in an exhibition game.
Christmas

Unlimited creation points
Create a player, then go to "Edit Player" at the roster screen. Press Up or Down to choose the player you want to edit. Press Right to get to the speed category. Choose attributes to adjust them up to 99 points.
New Year's commentary
Set the system date to January 1 to hear James Brown (JB) say "Happy New Year".
Easy 2-point conversion
After you score a touchdown, select the "Ask Madden" button. He will almost always suggest kicking a field goal. Instead, go up one set of plays, and pick the play "RB Direct Snap". No matter what defense you are playing against, you will always get the 2-point conversion. Note: If you cannot get in immediately, press B to dive near the goal line.
Easy scoring
Turn penalties off. On the coin toss, choose kick. Then, select "Onside Kick" for a play . Pull Back + Right (if your kicker is left footed, pull Back + Left) and kick with full power then recover the onside kick. Choose your quarterback then scroll down and select "Hail Mary" as a play.
Dancing into the endzone
Press L or R before running into the endzone and your player may do a dance. Note: He must be wide open.
Another way to dance into the endzone with two different dances is to hold Z + L or R.
Thanksgiving commentary
Set the system date to the third Thursday in November.
Easy punt blocking
Choose the play Punt Return Right, Middle, or Left. Before everyone lines up on defense, take your LE and bring him to the right of the MLB. After you bring the LE over, press the C-stick Right so your line moves over. As soon as the offense hikes the ball, use your turbo and head straight for the Punter. Once you get close enough, jump (Y) and you will either block the punt or hit him hard. If you happen to miss the ball, you will usually end up taking a penalty. Passing tip
Sent in by John If you hold down the button of the receiver that you want to throw to, it'll throw a bullet to him. If you tap the button, it'll throw a lob to him.
Receiving tip
Sent in by John When there are two or more guys defending your receiver and you throw to him---If you dont catch it, as soon as the ball hits one of the men (defenders or you) and they don't catch it, press Y or B to increase your chances of catching the tipped ball.
Infinite creation points
Create a player, then go to "Edit Player" at the roster screen. Press Up or Down to choose the player you want to edit. Press Right to get to the speed category. Press A, then press A again.
