Battle mode tipSent in by Norfleet at The Unofficial World of Nintendo!!! Here is a battle mode tip. If you knock somebody unconscious near the edge of the level, run over to them and press A to pick them up and throw them out of the battle arena. This may be kind of cheap but it works well.
Easy way to get a heartSent in by Norfleet After you beat the first level in the ice world, their is a way to get a heart easily. Simply drop off of the ledge at the beginning of the stage and there should be a rabbit hopping around nearby. Kill the rabbit with a bomb and collect the heart, since you have already beaten the stage all you have to do is press start to pause the game and then move the curser to exit stage. you will still have the heart in reserve. This is helpful when you are about to fight a boss.
Hidden skullSent in by Masked Bomber If you get the flame disease from a skull in the battle mode, don't waste time trying to chase people (they'll probably kill you anyway.) Instead, go after any rocks or bricks that are still on the screen and you might find another skull to get rid of the flames disease.
Is there any easy way to get Iron Goggles?Sent in by Stefan at The Unofficial World of Nintendo!!! If you have the code to get the code to get to the special code screen, type in Ironshard, and a flash should go across the screen and make a sound! Now go to the 1st level and go to all the corners in the level and throw 3 bombs at every corner until you find the right corner that opens up. now go through. This is a bonus level. You are in an Egyptian palace. The water will rise and you must keep jumping on the rocks that are provided in the level. If you beat the room you will get to a room with 3 chests. Pick the middle chest and you will obtain the Iron Goggles.
In White Glacier, Stage 3, how do you get up the frozen slope?Sent in by Jackson Reid At the beginning of the level, go right. You will see an elevator. Go in. It will take you to a place where you view the bottom of the icy floor. Keep going right and don't go any other direction. You will end up at a door. Go through, and you will be at the top of the slope.
Final Battle tipSent in by Kirk Davis There is a VERY easy way to beat the first part of "FINAL BATTLE!" After Sirius fires his laser and comes to land, start laying down bombs in a line. (Sirius will always land parallel to the Cube) As Sirius starts to bounce, he'll fall off the platform and be defeated. It may take a couple tries. Also, make sure you have about 5 bombs.
Can't move your legs and you can only kick bombs and plant bombsSent in by Eric Go to black Level 1 and make sure you have remote bombs and a heart. Then go to any platform and lay a bomb there then wait for a car to come near and then blow your self up you should go shining and fall off the platform and be blinking then the car will run over you while your blinking still and you wont get hurt then go get your heart and you will notice you are not moving your legs and you can only kick bombs and plant bombs.
Lots of red and blue gemsSent in by Jordan Montgomery If you're low on continues, and need desperate help for gems, you're in luck. Go to the Blue Resort level, then play stage 1, switches and bridges. Play through until you come to a large brick building with a ton of windows. Search for an open window and toss a pumped bomb inside the window, stand back, and after it blows up, enemies jump out. They die right after they land. Both blue and red gems come flying out of the ruined building. Sometime later in the same stage, you'll come to another building like the first. Repeat the process and you can get more red and blue gems.
Custom suits for other playersSent in by Andrew Rednour The best way to get custom suits for other players in a multiplayer game is to pop in another player's pak, access a record that's full of parts, save a suit on that pak power off, power on with all paks inserted in their respectable controllers and play away.
Beating AltairSent in by Tony Myers at The Unofficial World of Nintendo!!! The easiest way to beat Altair is to stun him with a bomb, then pick him up and throw him off the platform. If you are in the first part of the battle, be sure to watch out for Vega's beam, because he will sometimes attack when you aren't looking.
Rotate BombermanSent in by Brian Stilwell When choosing what to have your Bomberman look like (where it says "Name, Head, Body, etc.) press the right flipper on your controller (the one above the camera buttons) or the "Z" trigger and hold it down. The Bomberman should now rotate, so you can see him from different angles, not really a trick, but a feature not listed in the manual none the less.
Chain Reaction in Battle modeSent in by Brian Stilwell You bought Bomberman 64 for one reason, right? Battle mode!! If you stink at battle mode and want to win, here is an easy way to win rounds. Make sure that you can throw at least 3 bombs, then aim yourself so that your opponent is stuck near a wall. Drop then kick your as many bombs as fast as you can, then run away. What will happen is that your enemy will get dizzy from the first bomb that hit them, and they won't be able to get up because you hit them so many times! If they do happen to get away, they will have to walk past all the bombs that you kicked. Another technique my friend and I like to call 'Chain Reaction' can be hard to do. What you do is throw a bomb into an explosion that is already happening. This will make the explosion bigger, eliminating any other Bomberman who are foolish enough to be standing that close!
Victory criesSent in by firstname.lastname@example.org If you have a controller pak, you can play with a special suit in the battle mode. There are victory cries for each complete suit. Here are all the victory cries. Normal suit He does not say anything Knight suit Yes! Dragon suit I'm the best! Iron suit All right! Cat suit Meow-meow! Girl suit Haahhh! Duck suit Quack-quack-quack! Chicken suit Quack-quack-quack! Samuria suit I'm the best! Clown suit Piece of cake! Gold suit Yes!
Faster recoverySent in by Code Hunter at The Unofficial World of Nintendo!!! When Bomberman is dizzy, rotate the Analog-stick for a faster recovery.
Level changesSent in by Code Hunter When you get 100 gold cards and watch the "ending" bit with Sirius taking the Omni Cube, you can go back to the other levels, and there will be some small changes everywhere that Sirius usually is. For starters, go to any level where Sirius stands around to give you advice. Talk to him, and he says something different, like "It is no use opposing me now, just lay down and die" or something. Also, a big change is that in all the Stage 4's, (except for Black Fortress, where it is Stage 2) instead of Sirius coming in to drop off the remote bombs, there will be a little green crystal, where you can only just see a Remote item, and you have to break it open to get Remote Bombs. And one more really small thing: Sirius's eyes are now green.
Bomb trickSent in by Code Hunter In Red 1 go to the remote bomb area. Stop right at the end of the metal walkway and change camera angles until your facing the wall. Pick up a bomb and throw it into the wall and the bomb should go inside it and disappear. Note: This trick works once per continue Note 2: Must be first life!!! This trick also works with the pillars in Red 1 - Go up the long metal ledge to the right of the remote bombs area in Red 1 to the large area with the 2 fire blowing rocks. Pick up a bomb and throw it off the edge to the right towards the area of land below. The bomb will go straight through the land and disappear. This also works with the red grate below.
Air tricksSent in by Code Hunter In some levels you can walk off the area and into the air. Example: In Red Level 1 go down to the area in the beginning with the metal door that can only be opened with a bomb. walk to the door and then change the camera angle so you are facing the lava then walk forward onto the air! its a little space so don't fall off! You can test it by kicking a bomb onto the area. Also in Blue 1 near the edge after you drain the water the first time kick a bomb of the edge and it will float in the air. Or try to kick it to the left and it will go through the stairs and land to the water.
Hidden areas in Blizzard PeaksSent in by Code Hunter at The Unofficial World of Nintendo!!! In "Blizzard Peaks" on White Glacier there are hidden areas (there might be more that I didn't find). One of them is in an area where the wind blows. Go to the middle section, then go near the incline. There is space in the wall which you can go through. When you go through, the hidden area should be filled with yellow flowers which contain power-ups and gems. If you are on Hard one of them contains a Custom part which is the Chicken Head. Another one is the other area with wind. Now go to the middle section, and then go opposite of the incline and there should be another space. Go through and you should find pink flowers. They have power-ups and gems. At the beginning, go to the area where there is a bunch of snow at the top. Get rid of the snow by putting a bomb by it. Now go to the top and fall down to the next highest section with the tree. Now go to the corner where the 2 walls meet. There should be a space which you go through. Go through to get 1 power-up.
Blizzard Peaks signSent in by Code Hunter On "Blizzard Peaks" you know there is a sign sheeted with ice at the beginning that you can't read. But you can!!! Just lay a bomb beside it and then when it blows up the ice will be destroyed. The sign says, "Danger! Danger! Beware of avalanches! Do not use many bombs." You can guess why (because you will start one if you lay a bomb beside it).
New OutfitsSent in by Code Hunter You'll start with a full Knight outfit you can wear in Battlemode. To get new Outfits search all the levels for hidden parts to the outfits. You can access the outfit at the spot where you save your game put Customize.
Sound testSent in by Code Hunter To access a sound test option, beat the game in Adventure mode at normal difficulty.
Four extra battle levelsSent in by Code Hunter You do not need the Hudson Joycard 64 controller to enable the secret battle levels. The secret battle levels are also in the USA version as well as the JAP version. Go to the game selection screen (where you choose between adventure mode, battle mode, etc.). If you have a controller with a pause button press it, or just press the start button quickly and repeatedly until you hear the chime. Now go into battle mode and the 4 extra battle levels will be enabled.
Easy way to win battle modesSent in by Code Hunter If you stink at battle mode and want to win, here is an easy way to win rounds. Make sure that you can throw at least 3 bombs, then aim yourself so that your opponent is stuck near a wall. Drop then kick your as many bombs as fast as you can, then run away. Bigger explosionSent in by Code Hunter at The Unofficial World of Nintendo!!! Throw a bomb into an explosion that is already happening. This will make the explosion bigger, eliminating any other bombermen who is foolish enough to be standing that close!
Rainbow PalaceSent in by Aaron Ebro Collect all 100 Gold Cards and beat Altair again to access a completely new world (Rainbow Palace).
View the creditsSent in by Code Hunter First beat the game with 100 Gold Cards, then finish the extra world by defeating Sirius. If you now go to the Options menu, you can view the credits without having to beat the game again.
Full power optionSent in by Code Hunter at The Unofficial World of Nintendo!!! To get the full power option, beat the game with 120 gold cards.
Platform tipSent in by Code Hunter In an area where you have a platform about a pumped bomb's height higher than you are and about a pumped bomb's height from you down to the ground/other platform such as rainbow 3's wall platforms, throw a pumped bomb on the platform below you with your back to the platform you want to get on top of and then face the platform above you and get as close to it as possible then throw a pumped bomb at the platform so that it hits you in the head and you fall unconscious and on to the bomb below you and bounce up to the bomb you just threw and up onto the platform you want to get up onto. It works about 9 out of ten times.
PartsSent in by Code Hunter at The Unofficial World of Nintendo!!! Knight Armor - You already have it when you start Drill Arm - This battle mode item can be found on Black 1. It is at the very end of the 5th room on the median. In order to get there you must fall from one of the platforms, onto the median, and bomb jump your way up 2 more medians. The remote is helpful. Blow up the box at the end of the room and the drill arm is yours. Tennis Shoes - In the blue resort. In level 1 under the bridge that has a box under it and a blue guy on bridge. Iron Armor - In the white glacier. In level 1 behind one of the houses take a pumped up bomb and throw it at the houses. Run over the roof put a bomb by the tree and get it. Dragon Head - Green 1 - As shown in the final credit sequence, create a bomb staircase up to the teleporter in the first section. The teleporter will take you to another small room which contains this costume piece. Iron Goggles - Red 1 - There are three metal doors one the first level, all of which need red bombs to open. This costume piece is located inside the door which is connected to your starting platform. There is a small ramp right before it, so you'll have bomb jump to enter. Chicken Head - White 1 - On the final section of this level, there is a cottage with a snowman on top, which you need to destroy to reach the switch activating the ski lift. Don't blow up the house. Destroy the snow man with little bombs. Then use the small ledge to create a bomb jump to the top of the house. There will be a small platform to the right of the house with one tree (the costume piece). After getting the piece, fall off the platform to the left (towards the mountain). Samurai Head - N/A - Beat the game with 120 gold cards. Dragon Mail - Green 3 - On the first section, you'll notice a teleporter across a bit of water, which you can't reach at first. Get the detonator, and remove all the blocks in that area. Then put a bomb in the elevator (don't detonate it yet!). Then put two large bombs, one on top of the other, against the wall, as close to the edge of the platform as possible. The easiest way to do this is to face the wall and throw the bombs. Then use the elevator to go up, and line yourself up with those bombs. Then carefully walk off and push in the direction of the teleporter. If all goes well, you should bounce off the bombs and into the teleporter. Iron Armor - White 1 - Go the way of the avalanche. At the very top of the second section is a cottage. Blow it up with a big bomb. On the other side is a tree with the costume piece. Cat Suit - Blue 3 - After draining the water, it is in one of the pots near the edge, under a bridge (where it was previously underwater). Cat Hood - N/A - To get the cat hood go to that hole in the building where you can get throw a bomb in to get gems. That is the Entrance! Set up some Bombs that lead from the stairs to this window, you don't need to stack Em. once in the house just steer towards the pot!! Dress - Black 3 - The instructions to get this piece are actually in the credit sequence. On the second section, there is an elevator block which is seemingly unreachable. Complete the section as normal, and activate the first elevator. Going up will take you to a suspended platform with three planks. Walk of the last plank, and you should fall on top of one of the four sections below. Use a couple small bombs to bomb hop from one section to another, until you find the other section. This secret section is rather large, but isn't to difficult. The costume piece is near the gold card, I believe. Rocking Horse - Red 3 - Getting to this costume piece is fairly easy compared to some of the others. At the very end of the level, there will be a platform which you need to make fall by destroying the supporting pillars. Before you do that, fall through the hole it will eventually plug. This costume piece should be in a furnace block real close by. Use the tracks to escape the area. Shogun Kimono - N/A - Beat the game with 120 cards. Knight Shoes - N/A - Given to you at the beginning Dragon Spikes - Green 3 - On the last section of this level (with the big tower), on the far wall of the structure, facing away from the teleporter which brought you here, is a secret entrance. It looks like a wall, but you can walk through it. You can find it by pulling the camera in as close as possible, and standing next to the wall. Rotate the camera until it is inside the building. There will be two pots in there, one of which is the Dragon Spikes. Iron Sneakers - White 3 - Go through the right door once you start. When sliding down the slide, it is in a tree to the far left (opposite side than the switch). Cat Paws - Red 3 - There is only one metal door on this level, and the cat shoes are behind it. The red bomb is actually in the barrel which is close to the door, but don't blow up the barrel which you need to walk there by accident. If you do, just leave the area and come back. High Tops - Blue 3 - On Cliff, after first dam (get it beforehand) Bunny Socks - Black 3 - In the second section, there is a [::] switch. On a wall right next to it are a couple blocks. One of them will have the costume piece. High Heels - N/A - Beat the game with 120 gold cards. Pony Tails and Duck Feet: - You can find these custom parts in Rainbow Palace in Stage 3. In the main room, in the wall closest to the small stair case in the ground, there is an opening in the wall. You go through the wall and use a bunch of bombs to work your way through the platforms in the sky until you reach a large platform with two blocks that can be blown up. After they are blown up, the Pony Tails and Duck Feet are yours. Knight Sword - N/A - Given to you at the beginning Dragon Gloves - Green 1 - After receiving the Red Bombs, head towards the second section, and enter the teleporter on the left (which is obscured behind a wall). You will need the Red Bomb to blow up the blue pillars. After going through the teleporter, this costume piece will be easy to find in that room. Iron Nuckles - Blue 1 - This one is easy. It is in the same room as the switch which opens the exit. Slash Claws - Red 1 - Knock down the planks to go the alternative way. Near the exit, you will find yourself right above a single block on a short railroad track. kick a bomb off your higher ground, but use the R-button to stop it as soon as it leaves the platform. It should land right on top of the piece. After the explosion, drop down and get the piece. Use the broken tracks to fall down to the bottom level. Chicken Wings - White 3 - Once first starting, head through the white door. This costume piece will be easy to find, but the strange view might make it seem harder than it is. The costume piece will be out on a ledge in that section, and somewhat hard to navigate to. Fan - N/A - Beat the game with 120 gold cards. SunGlasses: - The sunglasses are hidden on Black Level 5-3. To get them is not easy. First you must hit the panel on the floor that has 2 dots on them. You then go across and hit the panel on the floor that has 4 dots on them. Proceed back and then hit the panel with 3 dots on it. Now here comes that hard part. If you are facing straight(right after you get off the elevator) go and take the path that appears when you hit the panel with 3 dots. Go up the stairs when you get to them. The best way I found to do this part is this: 1. Put two big bombs on top of each other against the wall on the other side. 2. Place another big bomb just a little bit away from the 2 big bombs. 3. Make a bunch of little bombs leading back to the wall on the other side, but make them the right distance so that you can bounce from one bomb to another. Go back up the staircase that you went up before and jump on to the bombs you just laid out. If you did it right and get a little lucky. You will bounce across and end up on top of the other side. If you made it, head for the elevator and continue down the paths until you're by the other elevator. You will see that there is a floor now connecting the two other floors. A lot of people must have wondered how to get those there. Go across those floors and you will find a box. Blow up the box and you'll get it!! Gold Suit - To get the full Gold suit, including: Gold Visor, Gold Armor, Gold Gloves and Gold Boots. You have to beat the game on hard difficulty with 120 gold cards under 3 hours. This is tough so have fun! Crazy Suit - To get the "Crazy Suit", including: Clown Smile, Karate wear, boxing gloves, and clogs. You have to beat the game on normal difficulty with 120 gold cards in under 3 hours. Duck Float: - This custom part can be found in Stage 1 of Rainbow Palace. First you must reach the switch using a bunch of bombs. Once you get the switch, a few platforms will move, letting you reach the exit. Before going to the exit, reach the last platform in front of it and pump a bomb (remote bombs are a must). Throw the bomb onto the platform directly to your right. Pump another bomb and throw it to the platform after the first to your right and lastly, pump one more bomb and throw it onto the last pumped bomb so that it bounces off a lands on another platform (the one closest to the custom part). Then you jump on the first bomb (just fall onto it and let yourself bounce to a platform. DON'T tilt the joystick while you do it or you'll bounce off a fall down). You'll bounce to the next bomb and then to a high platform. Fall from there to your other bomb and you'll land on the platform where there's a block that contains the Duck Float. I found it useful to get a heart item first (usually from Blue Resort) before you try this. Drop a bomb in front of the block and detonate it. Your heart item will protect you from the blast and the Duck Float is yours (it's probably much easier to fall and die after you get this than to work your way back).
