Platform tipsSent in by Libby Pound If you start at the bottom of a course eg. Downtown, course one, where there are lots of platforms straight up all at once, you can either position your control stick upwards then press "B" heaps of times or point your control stick down, then press "A". This will make you drop down to the acid sea below. You will lose one point on your turbo meter, but you will scream and jump up at least three or four platforms. Remember to fire out your grapple hook to catch a platform.

Easy way to get the Secret charactersSent in by Code Hunter All secret characters are easy to get (by putting in HAPPYHEADS as a code) but you still don't get Iggy's girlfriend, mentioned in the manual. It's really easy if you do this though. Put in two codes - THEUNIVERSE, for all the levels, and JUMPAROUND, for level select. Then, select the level "Iggy's Challenge". If you play this level normally, you will have to play Track 10 from each of the other levels. But as soon as you get to the first level, pause the game and highlight the option that says GOTO 09, or something like that. Move the control stick left, so that the number goes down, until it says GOTO 00. Now press A. You will warp to the first level from Easy Street, called Grapple Up, which is really easy to win. Once you win it, it will take you to the second level from Iggy's Challenge, but all you have to do is do the level select trick again, and Grapple Up will be the track you race on. Keep doing this, so the entire Iggy's Challenge will be 10 races on Grapple Up, and if you win every one, you get the top secret character, Lizzy. She is definitely the best character in the game, as she is faster than anyone else for grappling and "running", and can turn easily.
Get your opponent backSent in by Code Hunter at The Unofficial World of Nintendo!!! When someone is doing one of their grapple slam moves on you, do the button combination for whichever one you want to do to them. The screen will go funny for a moment, REVERSAL will appear in big letters, and you have just gotten your opponent back. In a battle match, it can save you from losing any health, and I think it even takes more off your opponent it was a reversal.
Climbing HelpSent in by Code Hunter Climbing Help: If you want to get first on the tracks where you have to climb really fast or you'll get last place (e.g the Bug Trousers track) then there is a move that will help you up. Keep pressing R (or B + A but R jumps and grapples) and either Left + Up or Right + Up (diagonal). If you can climb fast using that technique and you can stay ahead of the other players you will win (unless they catch up to you on the final lap).
Keep from slowing downSent in by Code Hunter This trick will help you not to slow down. There is two ways: 1. Use your turbo and waste one 2. Press down and save a turbo
Ways to get an enemy out of your waySent in by Code Hunter If an enemy is in your way there is 6 ways to get them out of your way. 1. After you run into them run into them again and they will go flying up in the air. 2. Run into them with star power. 3. Shoot them with a blue projectile. 4. Throw them off the edge. 5. Shoot your grappling hook into them (it may stun them or you will throw them behind you. 6. Jump over them.
Heli-grapple tipSent in by Code Hunter If you are in 4th place, you probably aren't going to finish. If you have a heli-grapple then you can use it to get into 3rd or 4th (you can only get into 3rd if the person in 3rd hasn't finished)
