Whacka BumpSent in by Neil Enderland In Mount Rugged if you search around you will come across a spot that looks empty. If you walk in there a mole like creature will pop out. If you hit it with your hammer you will get an item called a Whacka Bump that heals 25 fp and hp. You can come back later and get more also. But your limited on the amount you get.
PlaygroundSent in by TS In Toad Town, go to the bottom part where you see the train that takes you to the Dry Dry Desert. Once you're inside of this part, go to the top, but don't enter another section of Toad Town! Just stay at the top near the pig farm. From here go up to the top left of the section that goes to the center of Toad Town, but don't move to another section. Instead go to the fence to your left. You will see that there is a part missing and a small path that is leading to a tree near this small entry near the top of the white fence. If you hammer this tree, you see a secret warp form and you can enter a "playground" of some kind. Unfortunately you have to have a member credit to enter.
Lots of moneySent in by Kevin To get lots of money, go to Shy Guy's Toy Box. Get the Frying Pan, some and other items from the Shy Guys. Give the Frying Pan back to Tacye T. Give her the items you got from those annoying Shy Guys so she can cook them. Sell those tasty meals for a lot of money! Repeat until you get enough to buy what you want.
Get items from chef Tayce TSent in by Christine Tasty Tonic: Give Tayce T either a lemon or lime found in the oasis in the Dry Dry Desert. Koopa Tea (Recovers 7FP?): Give Tayce T a Koopa Leaf found in the bushes in the Koopa Village to receive this tea. Fried Shroom (I think it recovers 10 HP): Give Tayce T a REGULAR mushroom to get this. Spicy Shroom (I forgot how much this recovers): Give Tayce T a Volt Shroom to get this dish. To get these dishes, you must give Tayce T the cookbook you find in Shy Guy's Toybox. Bland Meal (I forgot the HP and FP it recovers): Combine the Dried Pasta (get some from the Dry Dry Outpost) and a regular mushroom to get this tasty treat. Big Cookie (Recovers 20 FP): Combine a pack of Cake Mix (get some from Shy Guy's Toybox) with any of the following-Goomnut (knock into the tree at Goombario's house), Egg (search the bushes by the Dry Dry Train Station), or any type of berry found in the game. Deluxe Feast (Recovers 40 HP and 40 FP): Combine a Whacka's Bump (hit the blue guy who burrows in the ground while en route to the Dry Dry Outpost) and a Strange Leaf. Honey Ultra (Recovers 50 HP and 5 FP): Combine the Honey Syrup (found in any store) with an Ultra Shroom (found in any store) to get this delicious treat. Egg Missile (Weapon): Combine an Egg (found in the bushes by the Dry Dry Train Station) with a Fire Flower to get this weapon. These are just some of the things Tayce T can make for you- there are over 50 recipes that Tayce T can make for you once you find the cook book.
Get a lot of coinsSent in by Nicholas Cuesta In Koopa Bros. Fortress and in LavaLava mountain there are these flame chains that spin and when they hit you they turn the other way. If you are familiar with Hot Rope Jump mini game from Mario Party just play it .As you jump the over flame chain it gets faster. Soon it will explode and a lot of coins will be there but you only can get the coins once.
Coins aplentySent in by Code Hunter It's simple. If you're ever short on cash, which is doubtful, go to Koopa bros. Fortress, Lavalava volcano or Bowser's castle. Continue normally untill you get to the area's with the spining pieces of fire. Play Helicopter with it (keep jumping over it and make sure you don't touch the flame.) until it start's to flash and will dissapear. 10 to 20 coins will come out of nowhere to congradulate you on a good game.
Never-Ending HallwaySent in by Code Hunter The directional pattern to the never-ending hallway is: Up, Down, Up, Down, Down, Up.
Bowser Question AnswersSent in by Code Hunter The answers to Bowser's questions are: "3" "Red" "Red" "24".
Luigi's DiarySent in by Code Hunter After you get the Super Boots return to Mario and Luigi's home. In the bedroom you'll notice a square patch of wood. If you spin jump on it you'll fall into hidden room where Luigi keeps his diary. It says mostly how Luigi feels about having to stay home looking after the house.
Haggle for CoinsSent in by Code Hunter If you are low on cash and need some fast, all you have to do is go to Boos Mansion and buy 10 Mystery?'s, then take them to Tayce T. in Toad Town and have her cook them. You may get mistakes, but that is okay. When Tayce T. has cooked all the Mystery?'s, sell everything but the mistakes to the closest shop. Take the mistakes to Boos Mansion and sell them there (you get more money if you sell them here) and if you did this correctly, you will make a huge profit. My best profit doing this was over 115 coins. good luck, and enjoy swindling.
Easy to miss star piecesSent in by Code Hunter These are the locations of some of the star pieces that are really easy to miss. Since People have these star pieces, Merluvlee can't tell you where they are: 1) Dry Dry Desert: Near the end of the game, go back to where Kolorado's tent was. It is gone, and you now have access to a tree. Hit it with your hammer, and a letter will fall out. Deliver it for a star piece. 2) Flower Fields: On your way to the Puff Puff Machine, There is a letter in some grass near the bottom of the screen. Deliver it. 3) Chuck Quizmo: You should know about him. He gives you star pieces for winning quizzes. He has 64 quizzes, so he has 64 pieces. 4) Rip Cheato: Rip cheato lives hidden in the sewer. He sells useful items, a badge (bump attack), and three star pieces. After you get the super shoes, you can reach the pipe that leads to a bombable wall. The pipe is near the blue door.On the other side of the wall is where he is. There is also a pipe that leads into the locked blue house. You can unlock the door with the key in there, for easy access to the Blue door (it leads to shiver city). You need to come here as soon as possible. I can't stress this enough! He only has these items for a limited time, so if you miss them, you can never get them!!! Try not to spend any money to save up, and keep on buying until you get the three star pieces and the badge. All the items cost 64 coins, and when he runs out of items, he keeps on selling dried shrooms, FOR 64 COINS! 5) Letters: Check everywhere for these. Merluvlee can't tell you about these, because people have these pieces, and she can only tell you about the pieces that are out in the open.
Amayzee Dayzee Level UpSent in by Code Hunter Requirements: Bombett, Mega smash badge, Ultra hammer, access to flower fields. You may notice that when you get to a high level, you get less star points from enemies. This makes it really hard to level up. If you are trying to get to the highest level, or just want to level up fast, then go to Flower fields. Go through the yellow flower gate, and keep on going to the blueberry tree. you will either see 2 Crayzee Dayzees, or a Crayzee Dayzee and an Amayzee Dayzee (they're yellow and sparkle, and they run away from you). If you don't see one, keep on exiting through the nearby exit until you do.When you do see one,get rid of the crayzee dayzee, and force the amayzee dayzee into the corner (between the stairs and the back "wall"). Blow it upwith bombette, so you get the first strike with bombett's bomb attack. Then Blow it up again during battle, and have mario hit it with the mega smash move. It will die, and you will get a A LOT of star points. If you don't have the mega smash badge, sleep stomp MIGHT work. (note: You have to kill it before it's turn comes, because it will run. It MIGHT not run, but it has a really high attack power. It has 20 HP.)

Infinite items from treesSent in by Code Hunter Once you have received a hammer, use it to hit trees. The tree by where you begin gives you an endless supply of acorns that revive your FP by 3. You must go somewhere else to get another acorn, though. You can also get coins, star pieces, and a weird doll as well.
Special spellsSent in by Code Hunter Go to the alley right next to Toad's house in Dry Dry Outpost. Jump forward over the left box and the camera will swing around to reveal a hidden area. Talk to Merlee to learn about her special spells. Depending on how much money you spend, she will help you during and after battles. The spells do wear off after a certain amount of time, but until then, it provides you with additional attack power during some battles and more coins after battles.
Hidden playroomSent in by Code Hunter Go south in Toad Town until you get to the area with the Li'l Oink Farm. Go left immediately after you enter this area (there is a narrow passageway that's not fenced off). Hit the tree with your hammer and a pipe will appear on the right. You can now enter the playroom, but need either a Silver and/or Gold card to play the games.
Classic Mario musicSent in by Code Hunter Go to the third house in Koopa Village (a Koopa is sunning himself inside). Stand in front of the radio and press A to switch between stations. Listen to the Golden Oldies station to hear classic Mario theme music.
Original MarioSent in by Code Hunter Go to Boo's Haunted Mansion and enter it. Once you get in the door continue walking straight until you come to a wall. Walk to the right until you see a door. This is the door farthest to the right. Walk into where the door leads you. There should be a large pot and a crate to the left. Jump on the crate and jump into the pot from there. When you jump out, you will be the original NES version of Mario. Note: You cannot leave the room with this trick on.
Luigi's secret diarySent in by Code Hunter Once you have the Super Boots and/or the Ultra Boots, go into Mario and Luigi's bedroom in Mario's house. You will see a square of boards facing the wrong direction. Do a special jump (press A while in the air) to go into the basement. Look at the book on the table to find Luigi's diary.
Answers to the Bowser questionsSent in by Code Hunter The answers are as follows: "3", "Red", "Red", "24".
Never-ending hallway patternSent in by Code Hunter The pattern to the "Never-ending hallway" is up, down, up, down, down, up.
Ultra-Level party membersSent in by Code Hunter Once you visit Raphael the Raven, you can "Ultra-Level" your party members. The best one to "Ultra-Level" is Parakarry, because he learns "Air Raid," which uses 6 (or 8) FP, and deals about 6 damage to each enemy (if you get to 100% on the "Press Left repeatedly" meter).
Unlimited HeartsSent in by Code Hunter To get unlimited hearts to refill your HP, while on Pleasant Path, go to the spot where there is a fork in the road, one way leading to the Koopa Bros. Fortress, and the other leading to Koopa Village. Go to the striped pole beside the sign, the one that revolves, and run circles around it. It will give out unlimited hearts that you can pick up to refill your HP. To do this trick, you must have access to Koopa Village. First, you leave Toad Town by the eastern exit that leads to Koopa Villages. When you see the crossroads (the steps going down, and the path going straight) you will also see three tall bluish rocks towards the back of the screen. If you start running counterclockwise around this rock, hearts will start coming out of it. They only stop coming out if you stop running.
Help From Your FriendsSent in by Code Hunter Eight fellow travelers join you on your spirit-saving quest. Many of them can overcome obstacles, and all of them offer battle assistance with fighting moves and special defenses. When you find Super Blocks, you can promote your party members to Super-Rank or Ultra-Rank, pumping up their attack power and giving them new battle tactics. Take note of the abilities of your party members and use them when the situation calls for their special talents. Below are the eight friends that you can find on your quest. Goombario - The young Goomba has knowledge beyond his years. He can give you information about every location and enemy. He can also fight with a collection of hard-headed attacks. Kooper - By tossing his Shell, Kooper can retrieve items and push switches on the far side of wide gaps. He can also give enemies shell shock with fast-flying attacks. Bombette - The explosive help of Bob-omb Bombette allows you to break through weak walls and rocks. Her Body Slam and Bomb attacks also bring power to your party. Parakarry - Mail-carrying Parakarry can give you a lift over gaps. His high-flying attacks, including the powerful Shell Shot, also offer much-needed boost in battles. Bow - Lady Bow is a gregarious ghost with two strong Smack attacks. In addition to slapping enemies around, she can scare them away and shield you from harm's way. Watt - By saving Watt from a lantern in Shy Guy's Toy Box, you will gain a helpful friend. She can light the way in dark areas and fight with electrifying attacks. Sushie - Sushie is a Cheep Cheep with wide-ranging water attacks and great swimming skills. She can take you across expanses of water and even help you dive for treasure. Lakilester - The Lakitu that calls himself Spike will give you a ride on his cloud over dangerous terrain. He'll also attack you enemies with Spinys and gusts of wind.

Basics/TipsSent in by Code Hunter Leveling Up - You'll earn Star Points from victory in battle. With every 100 Star Points that you earn, you'll rise up to a new level with the option to increase your maximum Heart Points, Flower Points, or Badge Points. It's good practice to start with a Heart Point increase. Treasure Collection - Star Pieces are scattered throughout the kingdom. There are 160 in all. By collecting them, you will have what Merlow wants in exchange for his power-giving Badges. Your Star Piece search will accelerate when you acquire the Super Boots. Badge Power - Badges can help you develop enemy-flattening strategies. Many Badges work well in combination with others, especially those relating to attack and defense power. Boost your Badge Points when you level up to maximize your Badge-carrying capacity.
