15,000+ points for a trick

Sent in by Gorge Constanza Instead of a flip, etc. of a ramp, do the stand on jet ski then back flip trick (release throttle, clockwise rotation of control stick and then press down) in the air. You may only get 500 points for this trick but sometimes you will get up to 15000+ points.

Change racers colors

Sent in by Greg Mann Hold up (or maybe its down) when choosing your racer.

500 points

Sent in by Sean at The Unofficial World of Nintendo!!! On Dolphin Park in stunt mode, there is a semi-big wave that is just after the announcer says go. When you are in the air, push down then up quickly to do a dive off of the wave. you will get 500+ points for this. In Glacier Coast, after the big jump, are four small icebergs. Dodge the first three, then on the fourth one, press down then up quickly. You will get 500+ points for this. Both of these tricks are much easier when you are using M. Jeter with the customize part on Handling all the way left. Engine on all the way left. Grip on the sixth notch from the left.

Stay under the water

Sent in by Grunt321@aol.com This trick allows you to stay under the water. I call it the super dive. All you have to do is when you fly off any ramp press down then hold up on the control stick. If done correctly you will see you rider duck this trick is very easy it takes no practice. This might help you if you can't make it under the bridge in Southern Island.

3000 point Helicopter flip

Sent by Michael You can do the best flip on ramps with the third racer. Customize the settings so that everything is near the beginning of the line. When you are heading to a ramp, going about 115+ MPH, on the ramp hold up left and then do a double flip and you will pull off a 3000 point Helicopter flip!

30,000 points on Stunt Mode

Sent in by Philip Binder at The Unofficial World of Nintendo!!! If you go to "Stunt Mode" then pick your favorite racer. When you go over a jump do a good trick and just before you hit the water press the Start button. It wont give you points just then, but after the race you can get up to 30,000 points on it.

Do double-backflips a lot easier

Sent in by Jaron Go to custom. Set everything all the way to the left. This will let you do double-backflips a lot easier.

Get up fast onto your jet ski

Sent in by Joel Vixie This trick allows you to get up fast onto your jet ski. When you fall off or you only hang on by your hands this trick will work. Just as soon as you fall off press the gas button repeatedly. This will allow you to not loose time much time when racing the other guys in Championship mode.

4000+ points in stunt mode

Sent in by Jason Cobbs This trick is pretty hard but well worth it if you get it right. Go towards a ramp full speed, then just as you get to the ramp hold the R button and hold left on the analog stick. This should have you go up the ramp sideways, then quickly press left then right on the analog stick. This should cause you to do not one but two barrel rolls off the ramp. If completed successfully you can rack up a mere 4000+ points in stunt mode.

Make a whirl pool

Sent in by Allen St. Hada at The Unofficial World of Nintendo!!! To make your racer make a whirl pool.... I suggest J.Meter for this trick, go to 111 MPH or 100 MPH then pull down on the control stick and turn so that your control stick is slanted if you do it right you will do a whirl pool.

Winning tips

Sent in by Jonathan When racing, you should avoid ramps when possible. Why? Because when in the air, your speed goes down a lot! How much is a lot? 75 km!!! But if you do take a jump, push up on the analog so you're in the air for less time. Another way to win races, is to skip bouys. Not that many time during the race, but usually towards the end. A great place to do this is on Sunny Beach in the expert mode. Skip the last bouy on the last lap and your time could increase by a full second!

All racers are ridding dolphins

Sent in by Chris If you use the code to ride on the dolphin, then in the begin demo, all of the racers are ridding dolphins.

16,000 points

Sent in by Greg Mann Mega points: after you do a stunt on stunt mode immediatly pause the game (actually you need to pause right before the announcer starts talking. "What a great stunt!" etc.) If you do it right, after you finish the run your points will sky rocket. One time I did just flips and this code and I got 16,000 points! Change racers colors: hold up(or maybe its down) when choosing your racer.

Stunts

Sent in by Greg Mann Handstand (off throttle - press down and up) Spin, i.e. "backwards ride" (off throttle - move stick clockwise) Stand (off throttle - move stick counterclockwise) + Somersault (hold down) Roll left (off ramp - tap right and hold left) Roll right (off ramp - tap left and hold right) Flip (off ramp - hold up and snap down) Dive (off ramp - hold down and snap up)

Lots of points in the stunt courses

Sent in by Code Hunter at The Unofficial World of Nintendo!!! To rack up MEGA points in the stunt courses, press the pause button as soon as you complete a stunt. If you do it right, all the sounds should stop except for the announcer ("I can do that!", "What a great stunt!", etc.) Usually if you press pause at the exact moment you hit the water you should be OK, but the idea is to pause it the instant the announcer starts talking (that way this cheat works with handstands, etc.). If you do it right, you should get tons of points for the simplest things. My little brother got over 20,000 points on Dolphin Park this way and over 30,000 on Glaicer Coast!

Save at least 4 seconds on Southern island

Sent in by Code Hunter On Southern island, there is a way to save at least 4 seconds! This will only work on the first lap. When you're coming towards the ramp, aim yourself so you will go on the right side of the ramp. When you're about to land do a nose dive. You will go under the bridge!

Ride a dolphin in the Warm-Up Mode

Sent in by Code Hunter This trick allows you to ride a dolphin in the "Warm-Up Mode." To do it, select Dolphin Park in Stunt Mode. Go through all of the rings and complete the following stunts: handstand, spin (ride backwards), stand and somersault, barrel roll left off a ramp, barrel roll right off a ramp, flip off a ramp, then dive underwater from a ramp. If you did it all correctly, the dolphin will squeak when you cross the finish line.

Ride the dolphin in Dolphin Park

Sent in by Code Hunter Exit the course and select Warm Up in Championship mode. On the Character Select screen, hold Down on the Control Stick or the Control Pad as you press Start to choose your rider. Once you start the Warm Up mode, you'll appear on the dolphin. Good news: once you've entered this code for the first time, the Game Pak saves it so you can ride the dolphin in Dolphin Park any time (in Warm Up) without having to do it again.

Player 1's default color

Sent in by Code Hunter at The Unofficial World of Nintendo!!! Use Controller two to decide which racer you are going to use in the Vs. Mode, and make sure that the first player's cursor is on an adjacent racer. Press up on Controller two (digital or analog) and press Start to have player 1's default color. Then, on Controller one, press right (or left) and Start at the same time. If you do this correctly, you can start the race with both players having the same color.

Player 2's default color

Sent in by Code Hunter If you want both players to have player 2's default color instead, use Controller one to decide the racer, and make sure that the second player's cursor is on an adjacent racer. Press up on controller one and press Start. Now on Controller two, press Right (or Left) and Start at almost the same time.

Flip trick

Sent in by Code Hunter at The Unofficial World of Nintendo!!! First get some speed with the jet ski. When you are on the ramp tap Up one inch from the top of the ramp and hold Down to do your flip. Instead of making the character do one complete flip hold the Down button longer so he does another turn. If you do it correctly he will land perfectly and ride on. J.Meter is the best racer to do this with; especially on the small ramps.

Reduce the air time when you fly off the wave or ramp

Sent in by Code Hunter Press B just before you hit a big wave and it will reduce the air time when you fly off the wave. This also works on the ramps.

Changes the zoom, in & out, on the camera

Sent in by Code Hunter C button Up and Down: C button Up and Down: Changes the zoom, in & out, on the camera.

Changes camera angle as the rider turns

Sent in by Code Hunter C left and right: Changes camera angle as the rider turns.

Double Flip Stunt

Sent in by Code Hunter For a Double Flip Stunt, first get some speed with the jet ski. When you are on the ramp tap up one inch from the top of the ramp and hold down to do your flip. Instead of making the character do one complete flip hold the down button longer so he does another turn. If you do it correctly he will land perfectly and ride on. J. Meter is the best guy to do this especially on the small ramps. You get 2000+ points for this stunt.

Side ways flip

Sent in by Code Hunter at The Unofficial World of Nintendo!!! When you are on the ramp turn sharply diagonal left-up or diagonal right-up then hold down to do a side ways flip. You can get an average of 1700+ points for this.

Glacier Park stunt

Sent in by Code Hunter This stunt can only be done in Glacier Park on the big ramp. You need a lot of speed and a lot of air to do this. It can only be done with J. Meter on this stage to my knowledge. You tap up 1-2 inches from the top of the ramp and start doing the flip and hold down. You need a lot of speed for this one so do not try to do any turns or get hit by an ice block in the water which may slow you down or stop you completely. You can get 3000+ points for this. Note that this is a difficult stunt to perform and you do need a lot of speed, timing, and maybe some tinkering with the customization of the racer at the character select screen.

Power start

Sent in by Code Hunter At the beginning of a race, hold both gas buttons as the last light beeps. The closer you get to the light, the more power you get.

Alternate color racer

Sent in by Code Hunter at The Unofficial World of Nintendo!!! Code for Alternate color racer. When selecting you racer Hold Up on the stick and you will see the racer change colors to the alternate color used when 2 people select the same racer when in 2 player mode.

Lots of points on stunt mode in Glaciar Coast

Sent in by Code Hunter Heres a tip to get lots of points on stunt mode in Glaciar Coast. When you start out do back flips on all the ramps and if you keep going there is a big flat piece of ice that you have to go over, when you get on it you will probably have around 14 sec. left if you are doing pretty good. When on the big slab of ice turn side ways and then do a back flip and hold it down if you do it right you can do around 10 flips on the ice and get around 9000 points. Make sure you don't wreck on the wall or hit the water while you are doing it because it will cancel your points out.
