Ness and the yo-yo

Sent in by Nicolas Carty For Ness try as hard as you can not to use a yo-yo because your accuracy will go down, stick with a bat.

Give the Wad of bills to the Theater manager

Sent in by foxkid@angelfire.com To give the wad of bills to the manager, he will say "What's that you got there kid? Let me have a reeeeeal close look." The problem is, You are supposed to give them to him standing next to him, not in front of him facing the desk.

Jeff and items

Sent in by Dustin Davis Jeff the smart one has to have a certain IQ level to repair certain items. they are as follows: Broken Machines After repair IQ Level Machine Counter PSI Unit 1 Spray Defense Spray 1 Iron Slime Generator 10 Air Gun Magnum Air Gun 12 Laser Laser Beam 24 Water Pipe Shield Killer 30 Cannon Spectrum Beam 32 Gadget Double Beam 34 Tube Hungry HP Sucker 36 Trumpet Defense Shower 40 Bazooka Heavy Bazooka 45 Harmonica Baddest Beam 55 Parabolic Baddest Gaia Beam 65

Get a lot of HP

Sent in by Landon This is a really great way to beef up your HP for all your characters. This trick works better for a character who is about to get a level up. This is a very time consuming trick, but the hard work pays off big time! First, you need to have all 3 rock candies (Well, you don't need 3, but it works a lot better that way). Empty all your items at Ness's house, except for the rock candies, your equipment, and the stuff on Ness. Put the rock candies on Paula, Jeff, and Poo. Now go to Scaraba and buy lots of Sugar Packets for Paula, Jeff, and Poo. Once you've filled them up, make sure the rock candy is the LAST item in their pack (It must be last or this will not work. To make the item last, give the item to. Now go out of Scaraba into the desert. Battle an enemy like the Great Crested Booka. Have Ness use Paralysis on the Booka(s) while your other characters are using rock candy on Ness. As you can see, the rock candies are not used up, and Ness's stats will go up a little every time. But the best is yet to come! Have Ness defend until your characters run out of sugar packets, then run away! Go back to Scaraba and restock on sugar packets. Repeat the rock candy process as much as you want, and remember to make sure that the rock candy is the last item in the list! Once you've done this enough, go somewhere where you can level up, like the lumine hall. Once that character levels up, all your stats (except for the ones that you get with rock candy) will increase GREATLY! HP should rise around 300, and PP around 150!!!! With this, you should get any of your characters above 1000 HP! When you do, weird symbols appear to replace the HP values.

Level up tips

Sent in by Mike at The Unofficial World of Nintendo!!! After Paula has left you, go to the Dusty Dunes Desert and wander around for a little bit with Ness and Jeff. Everyone once in a while you'll find a green thing, the Criminal Caterpillar. Chase it and you'll almost always get the opening attack. Watch out if you don't kill it instantly, it can PSI Fire Alpha, and it is devastating to Jeff. When you kill it with the two, you get about 15000 exp and if you come back and kill it with Paula, it's 10000 exp. In the Scaraba Desert, after you come out of Brick Road (Dungeon Man) the first time, walk around and kill things. Brick Road can do 400+ hp of damage. Everyone once in a while, you will see a red thing, like the green one. It's the Master Criminal Worm. Chase it, and you'll most likely get the opening attack. Be warned...if it isn't an instant kill, use Paula's PSI Shield Sigma, it can PSI Fire Beta. Brick Road can kill it in one hit, when he hits it. You get about 27000 exp when you kill it with 3 people. If only 2 are alive, you get 45000 or so, and if only one person's alive and you kill it, you get about 81000 exp. Now that's some pretty good exp...not even Kraken's give that much. When you enter Magicant, get a whole bunch of Magic Puddings, then go and get a Flying Man to join you. Go down the red path and fight things. It isn't really that hard if you're level 70+. When you reach the Spiral Thing, press the L button to go in. Walk around until you find a Kraken. Enter combat. For some reason, you can SMAAASH more often on these things then on regular enemies. When you kill it, you get 79000 exp. Do this for a while and you'll be able to beat Ness' Nightmare with no problem. You also have a chance of getting the Gutsy Bat, which raises your guts by 127.

Best weapon

Sent in by Mike Here's everyone's weapon that they should have equipped: Ness - Gutsy Bat Paula - Magic Fry Pan Jeff - Baddest Gaia Beam Poo - Sword of Kings

Chicken tip

Sent in by Kyle First, go to Happy Happy (before beating Carpainter) and buy as many eggs as you can for $12. Next, wait until they are chicken not chicks and sell them at the store for $112. See a great profit!!

Free hat trick

Sent in by Kyle at The Unofficial World of Nintendo!!! First, go to the spot in Onett where you see the building in the trees. Once you are there there is a secret passage through the trees. Go state up with the tree house. Once you keep going you will be in a tree house. Talk to the kid with batting helmet on and he will give you the Mr. baseball Cap

Swirling colors

Sent in by Kyle Who gets the first swing in battle? What about a surprise attack? Do you have to fight in every battle especially against weak enemies? Watch the swirling colors when you encounter an enemy and enter a combat sequence. Touching an enemy head on, or face to face, results in a black swirl and even odds in combat. Sneaking up behind an enemy produces a green swirl and you get first swing in battle. Watch out for a red swirl! The color red signifies that the enemy sneaked up behind you and they have the first attack. Earthbound's combat system measures the strength of your party versus an opponent. As you raise your levels, you will find that some easy enemies flee as you approach. If you attack these weak targets one on one, you'll automatically win without going through the battle sequence! Pick on weaker enemies later n the game to build up character levels.

How to get the Sword of Kings

Sent in by Kyle The Sword of Kings is the only weapon in the game available to the Prince. You can't obtain this weapon until the party explores all of Deep Darkness and enters the Stonehenge Base. Search the maze beneath Stonehenge and defeat random Starman Supers until you receive the sword. Getting the weapon is tough. There is only one chance in 128 that starman super has the Sword of Kings. One method for speeding up the process of finding the sword is to use the spy command that Jeff has. If the spy command reveals that Starman Super has the Sword of Kings, you've found the Prince's best weapon for winning the game!

Pray Command

Sent in by Kyle at The Unofficial World of Nintendo!!! Warm Light - The hit points of the characters in the party are increased slightly. Warm and Very Subtle Light occur the most frequently out of all the prayer command results. Very Subtle Light - This light increases the hit points of all the parties in Combat. This prayer has twice the power of the Warm light effect. Dazzling Light - This prayer result is identical to PSI Flash spell. All parties in combat risk the chance of being blinded by a burst of illumination. Affected characters can not stop stop crying and usually miss if they attack with a weapon. Mysterious Light - The aura from this glow increases all of the PSI points of characters in your party. Remember that the Pray command does not cost any PSI points to use. A primary reason most players use this command is when they have no other options. Golden Light - The Golden Light randomly maxes out the hit points of one member in the party. Sheet Lightning - Sheet Lightning is another blinding spell that reduces the amount of damage in combat. Like the Dazzling Light, this prayer creates a PSI flash spell that effects both parties in combat. As in real life, Sheet lightning is very infrequent. You may see this occurrence once in the entire game. Rainbow Colored Light - Yeah! A second chance to do things right ! The rainbow light brings all deceased party members back to life. Don't expect to see this effect very often. This is a rare form of divine intervention. Mysterious Aroma - This has the same effect as watching a test pattern late at night. One whiff of this Aroma puts all parties temporarily to sleep. This is not a desirable or common occurrence. Thunder - Yikes! Don't run under any nearby trees! Thunder exposes all parties in combat to the risk of brain shock. This seriously incapacitates any affected individuals. Heavy Air - Heavy air creates a fog bank that envelopes both parties in combat, dropping their defensive ratings. You can land more blows unless you have been hit by PSI flash.

Black phones warning

Sent in by Chris S The Black phones my be free, or so you think. Once you save your game, quit the game, then play it again, half of your money is gone. (Example: Say you save at a black phone, you have $500 dollars. When you start up the game and go back into it, your money will be at $250.)

Get the diamond

Sent in by foxkid@angelfire.com To get the diamond in Dusty Dunes Desert, go to Fourside and talk to Pokey. Then buy the show ticket for the Runaway five (which should be six,) then talk to the theater manager. Then go see the runaway five, return to the desert and go to the folklift. Then you will see an entrance under where the forklift dug, and talk to the miner. Then defeat the 5 big moles, and talk to the miner and you will have a diamond. Give it to the manager and they will go the next town.

Get free eggs and bananas

Sent in by Liss at The Unofficial World of Nintendo!!! Go to Happy Happy village and go towards the drug store. In front of the drug store you will see a food stand with no one attending it. Read the sign and after you have selected what you want a screen will show up asking how much you would like to pay. You can keep it $0 on the screen and you will get whatever you chose off of the menu for free.

Beating tough bosses

Sent in by Liss Go to the weapon man In deep Darkness or that guy after the pyramid in Scaraba and stock on multi bottle rockets for that brainy kid because he is the only one who can use them. When you meet Master Puke, thunder storm, and/or carbon dog use multi bottle rockets on them and they will disappear pretty quickly. For carbon dog it takes more than one but the other bosses you may encounter (Like shroom) will die in an instant.

Skipping Bosses

Sent in by Liss You can skip some bosses like shroom, the mole in Happy Happy village, and the sprout behind Saturn Valley for awhile and build up your strength. Come back later and defeat one of those bosses or all of them it just makes it easier to beat them.

Gain a few levels in Twosome

Sent in by Mooglecharm To gain a few levels in Twosome go near the end of the town where there are the mushrooms and plantweeds. Fight them. When your HP in low cure. There should be Magic Butterflies to cure PP if you get a mushroom on your Head talk to the girl on the other side of the cave and sell the mushroom for $50. This should get you a couple of levels.

Leveling up when you are alone

Sent in by Greg Campbell at The Unofficial World of Nintendo!!! This is a technique for leveling when each of the boys is alone. For the main character (I call him Greg), after you have your special (I call it Nova), go to Giant Step Hill and on the far left there's a room with a box in it on the first floor. Go in, see if there are any easy fights and if there are, attack. Exit the room and reenter as needed. The second time you can beef up Greg is in Happy Happy Village BEFORE you kill Carpainter. Progress the story so you have the Franklin Badge and all the best equipment you can buy from Happy Happy Village. Go into Mondo Mole cave and keep fighting until you're at least L23. (There's a magic butterfly in the cave near the path to MM.) By now you should have Nova B. Take on Mondo Mole ALONE, cast Shield a on you then Nova B until MM dies. Easy fight. With Marty (the smart guy), after you jump the wall, sell your ruler and protractor, possibly a few cookies, and buy the gum. Keep going until you get into the Shroom cave. Fight around here until you can kill Mushrooms in one hit, and have the Cheap Bracelet and Dart Gun. Use Brick Road if needed. Now, there are Cave Boys outside by Stonehenge that give a Picnic Lunch EVERY time they're killed. Use this to your advantage and keep attacking them (they miss so often it's funny) until they're gone. 5-7 hits usually kills one. Keep killing Cave Boys until you're satisfied, but I recommend L26 or more before leaving Winters. With the 3 (Greg, Marty and Chnie I call them) in the Belch Factory, fight Foppies (the red things) until you're hurting. Heal up and grab a butterfly, then repeat. This comes in handy later on. If you build up chars MASSIVELY, you can get through Magicant easily later.

Fighting the Nightmair

Sent in by Greg Campbell Save the Dragonite bags until this moment. When you face the nightmare, use the bags (all 4) and you SHOULD win easily.

Get a lot of experience and cash

Sent in by Kevin When you go to the Saturn Valley Base (where you fight Master Belch) you can find Floopies or Floppies or something like that, little red gels, that are super easy, give a lot of experience, and you can fight like 8 of them at the same time. Also, they are in the cave to the Underworld, under the Tenda Village, but the are orange and there aren't as many, about 5-6, but the give much more experience and this helps with cash because the more experience you gain the more money your dad puts in the ATM thing.

Tips for food

Sent in by DOAHunterX at The Unofficial World of Nintendo!!! If you put condiments before a Rock Candy (sugar packet preferred) and use the Rock Candy, you will use the sugar packets, but keep the candy. Actually, the Vitality, IQ, Guts, Luck, and Speed the Rock Candy increases affects max HP, max PP, more SMASSSHHHH attacks, more dodged attacks, and a better chance of attacking first! (Respectively, of course). Another condiment tip: Salt packet + Brain Food Lunch= Max HP and Max PP recovery!

Sound Stone tip

Sent in by Venom To avoid having to carry the Sound Stone around with you, first, fight crows and snakes to receive cookies until your inventory is full. Continue to the meteorite and fight the Starman Jr. as usual. Go to Pokey's house and have the bee die. He'll teleport the sound stone to your sister.

In Onett how do you get the police to fight you?

Sent in by Frank First, after you get the key to the house in the upper left corner of Onett, unlock the door and go into the cave. Be sure to have you "special Psy power." Defeat Titanic Ant and then when you exit the cave, a police man will tell you to come to the police station later. Stock up on hamburgers, and go the station by the bakery. Talk to chief strong, (The police man with the sun glasses.) He will ask you to follow him into another room. there you will fight five of his best men. After you defeat the five police men, You face Chief Strong. Defeat him and you can go to Twoson.

How do you get past the bunnies when playing as Cloud in Dallam?

Sent in by Shaun McKECHNIE at The Unofficial World of Nintendo!!! To get past the bunnies you must go to Summers and enter the museum go upstairs and talk to the guy and fight the mummies. When you exit the museum the phone will ring answer it. It is Mr. Spoon from Fourside museum go there after you hang the phone up. When you go in Mr. Spoon will say something about getting Venus's autograph at the theater. Go to theater and get the autograph then return to the museum. Mr. Spoon will let you into the room behind him. Follow the path until you get to the shining spot. Defeat the enemy named the Plague Rat of Doom and go up the ladder. You will learn the melody of Magnite Hill. Open the chest on the way out and you will find the Carrot Key. Go back through the sewer and exit the museum. Then teleport to Dallam and use the Carrot Key to move the bunny statues.

You can get a weapon called the Sword of Kings. This the only weapon in the game that Poo (The one from Dallam) can use. Enemy tip

Sent in by Kyle Fuhrer at The Unofficial World of Nintendo!!! A quick and easy way to earn experience: After you beat an end guy, every bad guy in that area will be scared of you. What you do is corner the enemy. Make sure he is alone. Run into him and the fight will end fast. You could earn from one experience point to about four thousand points in one pop.
Sent in by Mark When you are in Onett stock up on 4 or 5 hamburgers. Then go by the pizza parlor. Find a shark, when 1 shark is chasing you run so that he follows you far away, then finally turn around and get into the fight. Keep bashing him, use a hamburger if he hurts you. Fighting Carbon dog

Sent in by David at The Unofficial World of Nintendo!!! When fighting Carbon dog, make sure how much HP he has left. Because when you "defeat" him, a dazzling light will appear and how much more HP damage he took will be reflected at whoever last attacked him because when he is defeated, he will turn into Diamond dog.

Fighting Kraken

Sent in by David at The Unofficial World of Nintendo!!! When fighting Kraken, use this combo to defeat him: PSI Special Gamma, PSI Freeze Gamma, Big Bottle Rocket, PSI Freeze Beta.

Get rich quick

Sent in by Robby/Zoyicite I've found an easy way to increase your money early in the game. When you reach Twoson, at Berlin Park (The Flea Market Place) there's a booth selling fresh eggs. Buy as many fresh eggs as you can. I usually clear my inventory with escargo express. With as many eggs as you can hold go to the Twoson shopping mall and wait. Give each egg 3 minutes or so to grow and change. Soon You'll have a chicken which you can sell for a rewarding profit. Do NOT try to "use" the chicken or it'll run away. Lets take a over look. 1. Buy a fresh egg for $12. 2. Give each egg 3 minutes or so. 3. "Return/Sell" the Chicken/s for $110. That's $98 profit. I.E. I buy 10 eggs for $120. I get 10 chickens and sell them for $1100 ....WOW! I make $980!

Green phone save warning

Sent in by Patrick Phillips If you save at the green phone in Summers in the drugstore at the wrong time, when you load you game there might be someone blocking your way. If so you might as well start all over because theres no way out.

Sent by Robby/Zoyicite at The Unofficial World of Nintendo!!! The Fly Honey you get in the trash can in Threed (After you defeat the Circus tent) isn't just meant for making your eyes water and making you want to "toss your kookies", but it has a significant purpose. When Fighting Master Belch in Grape-Fruit Falls, use the Fly Honey in battle. This makes MB (Master Belch) Fall in to a gushing pile of harmless muck.

Why is there a teddy bear following me around?

The small bear that follows you around acts as a shield in battle. It will absorb enemy attacks so that your characters don't take the damage. The bears can absorb a limited amount of Hit Points, though. When they've absorbed their quota, they turn into piles of fluff and disappear.

Shyness Book (also referred to as the "Overcoming Shyness Book") Get the Book from the Library in Onett, but you must first rescue Apple Kidfrom the Stonehenge Base. Signed Banana Get the Signed Banana from Venus in the Topolla Theater in Fourside. You must have the Hieroglyph Copy, and you must first talk to the man blocking the door in the Dinosaur Museum in Fourside. Go into the theater, watch the show, then go backstage and talk to Venus to get it. Sound Stone Get it from Buzz Buzz when he gets squashed near the beginning of the game. Tendakraut Get it from the Chief in Tenda Village after giving him the Shyness Book. Tiny Ruby Poo begins the game with it among his items. When he travels to Summers and joins your other characters, he will still have it. Town Map Pick it up in the Onett Library. Talk to the woman behind the counter next to the entrance to get it. Wad of Bills Get the bills from Everdred in Twoson's Burglin Park. You must rescue Paula from Happy-Happy Village first, then return with her to Burglin Park to get the Wad of Bills. Yogurt Dispenser Find it in Talah Rama's Cave north of the Drug Store in the Desert.

Bosses

Sometimes the levels of the psychic power is shown. When it is, use that level is you have the PP. If no power level is shown, use whatever level you wish, but it's best to use the most powerful level you have. Starman Junior 200 HP, 999 PP, no shields. Don't get cocky with this boss, because this is the only freebee you'll get! After all, Buzz Buzz protects you from PSI Freeze Alpha and PSI Fire Alpha. Just keep attacking or turn on Auto Fight and watch the outcome. This is meant for you to see what lies ahead. Frank Fly 63 HP, 0 PP, no shields. This guy is your "reality check" after the first boss. Make a trip into the Arcade and thrash the Sharks before battling Frank. Stock up on Hamburgers before the battle. Attack repeatedly and eat a Hamburger if you're feeling weak. If you're really low on HP, go ahead and use Lifeup Alpha. Frank isn't too tough to beat. Frankystein Mark II 91 HP, 0 PP, no shields. After you defeat Frank, he'll sic his home-maid robot on you. It's poorly built and has to release steam between each attack. Treat him just like Frank, but recharge your HP in between Frankystein's attacks to escape retaliation. Titanic Ant 235 HP, 102 PP, can cast Shield of Light Alpha. This ant is tough to stomp. Make PSI Special Alpha your first attack to dispatch of his toadies. After that, the Ant will occasionally suck your PP, so use most of it in the beginning. It's a good idea to use Hypnosis Alpha to save yourself from attack a few turns. Use mainly Bash attacks, and save PP for healing and hypnotizing the huge Ant. Onett Police Officers 75 HP, 0 PP, no shields each. Before you visit the Police Station, stock up on Hamburgers and Lucky Sandwiches. Unfortunately, you don't get a chance to refill your HP in between battles. Never let your HP drop below 30! I usually Bash the first two officers, PSI Special Alpha the third, and Bash the fourth. Chomp a Hamburger or, if you need lots of energy, a Lucky Sandwich or use Lifeup Alpha. Captain Strong 140 HP, 0 PP, no shields. Strong doesn't live up to his name very well. Try to keep your HP above 40. Start with a PSI Special Alpha, followed by Bash attacks. Refill your energy whenever necessary. He isn't so tough by himself, but he can be brutal after fights with four police officers. Al Everdred about 170 HP, 0 PP, no shields. The crime boss of Burglin Park is a wimp. The worst thing he'll do is to steal your items. Bash him regularly, with a PSI Special Alpha once if you want. For added protection, bring along a Teddy Bear. Mr. Carpainter 262 HP, 70 PP, can cast Shield of Light Alpha. This guy may look like he took one too many whiffs of that blue paint, but he'll paint you if you're not careful. Don't bother wasting PP except to refill your energy. He deals the most damage to himself with Lightning deflected by the Franklin Badge. One hint: don't ever give the Frankin Badge away! Mondo Mole 498 HP, 161 PP, can cast Psychic Shield Alpha. This guy is very powerful and can deal mortal damage to Paula easily. Use Paralysis Alpha on him immediately! Then, he can only use Offence Up # and PSI Shield #. Use psychic attacks unless he has his shield up. After that, repeatedly Bash him for an easy victory. Boogey Tent about 500 HP, 0 PP, no shields. This apparition isn't anything to worry about. Be sure to have a Vial of Serum in case he poisons you. Use PSI Fire and PSI Special to dispatch of this maniacal tent. A regular Bottle Rocket also works nicely. Mini Barf about 550 HP, 0 PP, no shields. This little pile of pond scum is tougher than he looks. Focus on Bash attacks until he makes you cry. Then, use a combo of PSI Freeze and PSI Special. You should also throw in a Bomb or two. Master Belch 650 HP, 0 PP, no shields. This slime's looks are the worst things about the Belcher. Use the Fly Honey immediately so Belch won't attack. After that, use a nice combo of Bash, PSI Freeze, and a PSI Special for variety. Don't waste any Bombs or Bottle Rockets of him; he's too easy. Trillionage Sprout 1,048 HP, 240 PP, can cast Psychic Shield Alpha. Be sure no one in your party is Mushroomized when you go up against the Sprout. Hi him immediately with your most powerful PSI Fire and PSI Special attacks to get rid of his helpers. Use PSI Fire and regular attacks throughout the battle. A Bomb or Bottle Rocket will also help. Don't spare any PP getting rid of this guy, unless he has his shield up. Guardian Diggers 386 HP, 110 PP, starts with & can cast Shield of Light Beta each. One note about these guys: never use a Bash or Item attack! Some of that damage will be delivered back to you. Use PSI Flash and a strong PSI Freeze to dispatch of each Digger. You may have to exit the cave once or twice to refill your HP and PP. Don't forget to bring Items that replenish PP, and take an Exit Mouse from the cave for a quick exit. Department Store Spook about 800 HP, 200 PP, no shields. The kidnapper of Paula is not a wimpy enemy! It can and will throw almost every psychic attack in the book at you. Counter with PSI Special and Bottle Rockets and Super Bombs. Don't buy any Big Bottle Rockets until you're ready to leave Fourside; the regular ones are powerful enough. Evil Mani Mani 860 HP, 88 PP, can cast Psychic Shield Alpha. Finally it's time to wreck this focus of Giygas's evil! Don't spare the PSI Special and throw a Super Bomb or two. You should also try the Counter-PSI Device once or twice. Once you crack the bronze idol, you'll end the illusionary Moonside for good. Clumsy Robot 962 HP, 0 PP, starts with Psychic Shield Alpha. Try as you might, you'll never beat him. It's a good idea to use Shield # on both Ness and Jeff. Repeatedly Bash the bot, but don't bother with any Bombs or Bottle Rockets. After a while, Eagleland's #1 band will flip the bot's power off. Schroom! 1,700 HP, 112 PP, no shields. This vile vegetable's most dangerous attack is the incurable Mushroomization. If one of your characters is hit with this, don't use any strong attacks with that person. A fast and furious volley of PSI Special, PSI Fire, and a Big Bottle Rocket will make this fungus among us wilt. Plague Rat of Doom 1,827 HP, 60 PP, no shields. Almost every one of the rat's attacks is a SMAAASH attack. Use Shield Sigma to protect your party quickly. The rodent hates getting burnt by PSI Fire! PSI Special and some Big Bottle Rockets work well too. A shot of Defence Down Alpha will also help the weaker Poo help Bash. Heal injured members quickly! Thunder & Storm 2,065 HP, 70 PP, no shields. Don't forget to wear the ever-useful Franklin Badge when fighting these Lightning Elementals! The duo likes to zap you with lots of lightning bolts. PSI Freeze will but these guardians on ice for good. Be ready to heal soon when they take deep breaths for their next assault -- that attack is brutal! Kraken 1,097 HP, 176 PP, no shields. The Kraken is a formidable beast, but nothing a high dosage of PSI Freeze can't rid of. He uses Lightning and the equivalents of both the Neutralizer and PSI Flash. Don't bother with any shields, because they won't block anything. Like all classic monsters, he breathes fire. Just attack him fast and attack him hard. Guardian General 831 HP, 6 PP, no shields. This stone warrior hates the icyness of a PSI Freeze onslaught. A quick lash with a Mummy Wrap will also greatly damage the living statue. Otherwise, use a Big Bottle Rocket and Bash Attacks, but don't drain too much PP; you don't get a free refill until you exit the pyramid! Master Barf 1,319 HP, 0 PP, no shields. This pile of God-knows-what is just Master Belch with some more putridness than before. Too bad he just filled up on Fly Honey and won't take any more. Again, PSI Freeze is your best weapon, along with PSI Special and a good Bash attack. After you deal so much damage to him, Poo will come back and demonstrate PSI Starstorm Alpha on your opponent! Starman Deluxe 1,400 HP, 418 PP, starts with & can cast Shield of Light Beta. The Starman Deluxe is one of Gigyas's favorite robots. It's capable of using PSI Starstorm Alpha, which will be devastating to your party's current status! Start with PSI Shield Alpha to save you. Attack using only psychic attacks, and have Jeff use Shield Killer on the boss. If the robot is joined by more Starmen, ignore them. They will disappear once their leader is scrapped. Electro Specter 3,092 HP, 80 PP, starts with Psychic Shield Beta. This guardian's shield is no problem. He often uses a Neutralizer, which will wreck his shield as well as yours. Once he does, try using a strong PSI Freeze on him. Using a Multi-Bottle Rocket will also help wear him down. If he doesn't drop the shields after a while, go ahead and use the Shield Killer. Carbon Dog 1,672 HP, 0 PP, no shields. This hot dog can't stand a good PSI Freeze Omega or two. Focus on beating him quickly. It's a good idea to launch a Multi- Bottle Rocket to end the battle against him. But wait! There's more! Diamond Dog 3,344 HP, 154 PP, starts with & can cast Shield of Light Beta. It makes sense; diamonds are made of almost pure carbon. Enough with the science lesson, though. Don't bother with Shield Killer because he'll make a new shield soon. Although no psychic power works especially well on him, try a good blast of PSI Special, PSI Freeze, and PSI Starstorm. It will also help to cast Shield Sigma to protect you from his fierce attacks. It takes time to beat him -- he's tougher than diamonds. Ness's Nightmare 1,654 HP, 882 PP, starts with Psychic Shield Alpha, can cast Shield of Light Beta. Is it any real coincidence that the Nightmare looks just like the Mani Mani statue? Be sure to have plenty of PP- replenishing items on hand. Use Bash attacks until he changes shields. Then use PSI Special Beta or Gamma, but not Omega! The Í level drains more PP than you can afford to lose. Heal whenever you're hit with a strong psychic attack. After all, he is your evil side; he can do anything you can. It may take a few tries to topple him once and for all. Be sure to equip an item that repels Flash attacks to avoid Crying. Don't waist time and PP with a shield; you can't block any of his attacks. Heavily Armed Pokey limitless HP, limitless PP, no shields. Gigyas (phase 1) limitless HP, limitless PP, Super Shield that never disappears and deflects everything. Get ready -- it's going to be a long battle. Immediately cast three or four PSI Shield Sigma to block Gigyas's PSI Special attacks. Don't dare use Omega level, because it will bounce off you, bounce off Gigyas, and hurt you! Focus entirely on Pokey. Use PSI Brainshock Alpha on Pokey to make him attack himself. Launch Bash attacks and Multi-Bottle Rockets at him. Eventually, Pokey will leave, turn off the Devil's Machine, and reveal the true form of Gigyas! Gigyas (phase 2) limitless HP, 0 PP, no shields. Gigyas now appears as an undulating background. Don't bother with shields, because you can't comprehend his attacks. Go ahead and show off with your PSI Special Omega, PSI Freeze Omega, PSI Starstorm Omega, and any Multi-Bottle Rockets you may have left. His attacks have the effects of either Lightning, PSI Flash, or a PSI Freeze that hits everybody. Heal up and don't let anyone die! After a while Pokey will taunt you about calling for help. Gigyas (phase 3) limitless HP, 0 PP, no shields. Gigyas's previous form now becomes more furious and tumultuous. Don't bother with any attacks -- they won't help you now. Save PP for Lifeup and Healing. Use Poo's Brainshock Alpha to make Gigyas attack himself. It doesn't make the battle faster, but it saves you from a round or two of damage. Use Paula's Pray command repeatedly to spell Gigyas's doom. The hope of the Mr. Saturn, the Runaway Five, Paula's friends, Jeff's friends, Poo's girlfriends, Frank Fly, Ness's Mom and sister, and finally you, the one staring at the computer screen, will destroy Gigyas!
