Elimination Mode
Sent in by Jacob When start screen appears hold L and R buttons on controller 1 then press start. Use your favorite four fighters in an Elimination Mode.
Babalities or Friendships
Sent in by Jacob To do Babalities or Friendships for both rounds you win you must use kick then do the moves when it says "Finish Him".
Knock someone's head off three times
Sent in by David Dinh at The Unofficial World of Nintendo!!! To knock someone's head off three times pick Johnny Cage. Do the Uppercut fatality. After that quickly hold down: down, low punch, low kick, and both blocks.
Finishing move trick
Sent in by Kristoffer Flores For something fun to do, pick Shang Tsung and when you beat your opponent the 2nd time, turn to Sub-Zero and do his first part of the Freeze Uppercut. When you turn back to Shang Tsung, turn to Mileena. Do her Man-Eater finishing move. When she starts eating her opponent, her opponent will still be frozen. Remember, you must be Shang Tsung to do this.
Computer weakness
Sent in by Agustin Elizondo I found out the weakness for the computer!!! It works against everybody except for Kintaro, Shan Kahn, and Jade. All you have to do is try to put the opponent on the other side then start throwing your weapons. (Works best for Lui Kang, Kung Lao, Reptile, Shang Tsung, Kitana, Jax, Mileena, Baraka, and Rayden.) Once you throw the weapon, the computer's reaction will be that flip back every time you throw the weapon, and you will be able to beat everybody. Even for Smoke, and Noob Saibot!!
Game's weakness
Sent in by Agustin Elizondo I figure out the game's weakness when playing the computer. It even works when fighting Smoke, Noob Saibot, Jade, or any other character except for Kintaro and Shan Kahn. All you have to do is pick a character that throws especially for Liu Kang, Kung Lao, Reptile, Mileena, Baraka, and Rayden. Then, try to put the computer on the opposite side of the screen and repeatedly throw the weapon at them and the fighter will some how retreat by flipping back- wards which will eventually hit him and every time you keep on throwing the weapon, he will back flip and the weapon will hit him. Note: Keep throwing the weapon until he dies!!!!
Shang Tsung trick
Sent in by Chris (Johnny Cage) Bambrick and Tony (Sub-Zero) Wacholtz Choose Shang Tsung and turn into Sub-Zero when you are almost done beating him (if it would be your second win). After beating him, do the first part of his Ice Shatter Fatality (Forward, Forward, Down + High Kick), freezing him. This will give you a little extra fatality time. After turning back into Shang Tsung, quickly turn into Scorpion. Execute the Toasty Fatality (or the Distant Toasty Fatality, whichever is easier for you). Until the point where fire leaves Scorpion's mouth, your opponent will stay frozen. You will need very good timing and a little luck.
Sub-Zero trick
Sent in by Chris (Johnny Cage) Bambrick and Tony (Sub-Zero) Wacholtz When fighting at the Dead Pool with Sub-Zero, beat your opponent. Then do the first part of his Ice Shatter Fatality (Forward, Forward, Down + High Kick), then knock them into the dead pool (Hold Low Punch, Low Kick, and Down, then High Punch, uppercutting them into the dead pool). They will fly into the Dead Pool still frozen. Remember, this only works with Sub-Zero.
Dead Pool trick
Sent in by Jonathan Nelson at The Unofficial World of Nintendo!!! At the Dead Pool, when it's time to finish your enemy, hold down LP + LK then, uppercut your foe into the slime, sending him to an awesome death.
Kombat Tomb trick
Sent in by Jonathan Nelson In the Kombat Tomb, right after you send your enemy into the spikes with a pit fatality, quickly hit down on both controllers and the body will come sliding right off!
Fight Smoke in Goro's lair
Sent in by Jonathan Nelson When Dan pops out his head at the portal and yells "toasty!" hit up and start at the same time. It will send you to fight Smoke in Goro's lair. This only works in two player bouts.
Question mark stage in one player tournament
Sent in by Jonathan Nelson To get to the Question mark stage in one player tournament you have to win the match before it using only low kick. Win one round and you advance to the bonus stage to fight Jade.
Random character select
On the Character Select screen, simultaneously press Up and Start for a random character select.
Super damage
On the Character Select screen, press Down, Up, Right, Up, Left, Select. If done correctly and quick enough, you will hear a "swishing" sound and be able to do super damage.
Fight Kintaro
On the Character Select screen, press Up, Down, Down, Right, Right, Select. If entered correctly and quick enough, you will hear a "swishing" sound and fight Kintaro.
Fight Smoke
On the Character Select screen, press Up, Left, Up, Up, Right, Select. If entered correctly and quick enough, you will hear a "swishing" sound and fight Smoke.
Secret intro screen
When you first turn on the power, immediately start holding L and R on Controller 1 for a secret intro screen.
Mini-tournament
When the Start screen appears, hold L and R on Controller 1 and press Start. You and your opponent are allowed to choose four players each and then go through a sort of mini-tournament.
Disable throws
You must be playing a two-player game. On the Character Select screen, after each player has chosen their character, you must hold Down and Y (the default setting for High Punch) on both controllers until the match starts for disable throws.
30 continues
On the Character Select screen, press Left, Up, Right, Down, Left, Select. If done correctly and quick enough, you will hear a "swishing" sound and have 30 continues.
Fight Shao Kahn
On the Character Select screen, press Right, Up, Up, Right, Left, Select. If entered correctly and quick enough, you will hear a "swishing" sound and fight Shao Kahn.
Fight Jade
On the Character Select screen, press Up, Down, Down, Left, Right, Select. If entered correctly and quick enough, you will hear a "swishing" sound and fight Jade.
Fight Noob Sailbot
On the Character Select screen, press Left, Up, Down, Down, Right, Select. If entered correctly and quick enough, you will hear a "swishing" sound and fight Noob Sailbot.
More fatality time
On the Character Select screen, press Up, Up, Left, Up, Down, Select. If entered correctly and quick enough, you will hear a "swishing" sound and have more fatality time.
Beat your opponent with only two punches
At the Character Select screen, press Down, Up, Right, Up, Left, and Select. You will be able to beat your opponent with only two punches.
Access a crazy Shao Khan intro
To access a crazy Shao Khan intro, press and hold the Left and Right buttons as soon as you turn on the machine. If it worked, Shao Khan and Kintaro should come out and make a mess of the Acclaim logo. To play MK 2 in a 2-player tournament mode, press and hold the Left and Right buttons before you press the Start Button. Next choose four fighters and prepare for battle.
Moves

Kitana Kombo This is a real cheap combo I devised a long time ago: Fan Lift, then jump at the victim's legs (feet) and High Punch, then very quickly do a mid-air Fan Throw. If you're in a corner, then you can follow up with a jumpkick, on your way back down. Works great against anyone, especially Kintaro.
